Thriving English Language Environment

The child learns the mother tongue by listening to his/her parents and other people around. The child picks up the language from her/his sorroundings where it is used meaningfully. The child develops as a linguistic adult with the help of the perfect learning environment. On the contrary, when we introduce a foriegn/second language(here, English) to her/him, there is very little opportunity for listening to that language fluently. The teacher should try to bring in as many interesting language activities as possible in her/his classroom and these activities should be presented in meaningful contexts in the classroom.
